Frances Sheridan (née Chamberlaine, 1724–1766) was an Anglo-Irish writer who made her mark in the literary world as both a novelist and a playwright during the mid-eighteenth century.\n\nBorn in 1724, she pursued her writing career within the Anglo-Irish cultural milieu. Her life and literary contributions came to an end with her passing on September 26, 1766.
