Charlotte Kelly is a British singer-songwriter, composer, arranger, and record producer who rose to prominence in the mid-1990s as a lead vocalist for the highly successful London-based R&B group Soul II Soul. She performed lead vocals on the group's 1995 single 'I Care' from their fourth studio album Volume V: Believe, and continued recording and performing with them until the release of their 1997 album Time for Change. During a subsequent group hiatus, Kelly launched her solo career, releasing her debut solo album Just Another Girl in 1998 exclusively in Japan, followed by her self-titled sophomore album Charlotte in 1999, which featured the popular dance hit 'Skin'. Kelly rejoined Soul II Soul in 2010 for their Reunion Tour and remained their featured lead singer until 2013, when she departed once more to focus on her solo career. Her contributions to music have earned her several accolades, including three United Nations Music Aid Awards, a UK Songwriting Contest Award, and a Unisong International Song Award. Additionally, she was honored with a prestigious Heritage Award from the Performing Right Society alongside her fellow members of Soul II Soul.
