Chester K. Steele was a house pseudonym utilized by the Stratemeyer Syndicate to publish a series of mystery novels. The works released under this pen name were distinct from much of the syndicate's other output, as they were aimed at an older audience rather than younger readers.
The first title in the series, The Mansion of Mystery, was written by the syndicate's founder, Edward Stratemeyer. Following this initial publication, the remaining books in the series were produced by ghostwriters who wrote under the shared Chester K. Steele pseudonym.
