Harwood Steiger was an American textile artist and printmaker active during the twentieth century. Born in 1900, Steiger developed a career centered on printmaking and fabric design, collaborating closely with Sophie Steiger.
The duo became best known for their distinctive desert textile art. Their work captured the aesthetic of the desert landscape, contributing to the mid-century decorative arts movement in the United States before Steiger's death in 1980.
