Frances Matilda Van de Grift Osbourne Stevenson was an American magazine writer. She is best known for her relationship with the Scottish novelist Robert Louis Stevenson, whom she supported throughout his career and eventually married.

In addition to her writing and her partnership with Stevenson, she was the mother of three children: Isobel Osbourne, Samuel Lloyd Osbourne, and Hervey Stewart Osbourne. Her life and work remain closely connected to the late-nineteenth-century literary circle in which she lived.
