Maharani Suniti Devi Narayan (née Sen), CIE, was a prominent Indian queen, educator, social worker, and author who lived during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Born in 1864, she became the queen of the princely state of Cooch Behar in British India. Throughout her life, she utilized her royal status to champion educational initiatives and social welfare programs, establishing herself as a progressive leader of her era.
In addition to her administrative and social duties as Maharani, she was an active writer, contributing to the literary and educational landscape of British India. Her efforts in education and social reform earned her significant recognition, including the prestigious Companion of the Order of the Crown of India (CIE). She passed away in 1932, leaving behind a legacy of advocacy and public service.
