Lee Barkell is a Canadian figure skating coach and former competitive pair skater originally from Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Throughout his skating career, Barkell competed at a high level in pairs skating, achieving significant international success alongside his skating partner, Melanie Gaylor.
In 1986, Barkell and Gaylor secured gold medals at several prominent international competitions, including the Fujifilm Trophy, the Nebelhorn Trophy, and the Grand Prix International St. Gervais. Following his competitive career, Barkell transitioned into coaching, where he works with both singles and pairs skaters.
