Albert Teich Jr. was an American attorney, educator, and politician whose career spanned public service, legal practice, and philanthropy in Virginia. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1929, Teich pursued his higher education at the College of William & Mary and the University of Virginia. His early life also included military service, during which he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.\n\nFollowing his military service, Teich returned to academia, earning his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. After being admitted to the Virginia bar, he established a legal practice in his hometown of Norfolk. In addition to his legal work, Teich contributed to higher education by teaching at Old Dominion University.\n\nTeich also engaged in Virginia politics as a member of the Republican Party. He was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, serving the commonwealth from 1972 to 1974. Beyond his legislative career, Teich was dedicated to community welfare and social causes, establishing an orphanage designed to support and care for underprivileged children. He later returned to public administration, serving as the clerk of the Norfolk Circuit Court from 1996 until his retirement from the role in 2004.
