Lewis Edwin Theiss (1880–1963) was an American educator, journalist, and author who made contributions to early-to-mid twentieth-century youth literature. Over the course of his career, he became known for writing engaging adventure books targeted at young boys, capturing the imagination of readers during this era.
In addition to his fiction, Theiss was an active freelance writer, contributing articles to various national magazines. He also dedicated a portion of his career to academia, serving as a professor of journalism at Bucknell University, where he shared his professional expertise with aspiring writers.
