William S. Thomas Jr. was an American ecclesiastical leader who served as the suffragan bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh. Born in November 1901, his career in the church spanned several decades of the twentieth century.\n\nThomas assumed his role as suffragan bishop in 1953, serving the Pittsburgh diocese for eighteen years until 1971. He remained a respected figure in his religious community until his death in April 1986.
