Louis Tracy (1863–1928), born Patrick Joseph Treacy, was a British journalist and a highly prolific author of fiction. Active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Tracy developed a diverse body of work that captured the imagination of contemporary readers. His literary output primarily spanned the genres of mystery, adventure, and romance.

Throughout his career, Tracy employed multiple pen names, most notably Gordon Holmes and Robert Fraser. These pseudonyms were not his alone; they were occasionally shared with the writer M. P. Shiel. Tracy and Shiel maintained a close literary collaboration, co-authoring works under these shared names until their partnership ended in 1911. Through both his independent novels and collaborative efforts, Tracy remained a versatile figure in popular British fiction.
