Sir George Frederic Warner was an English archivist and librarian who dedicated his career to the preservation and curation of historical documents. Born in 1845, he achieved significant professional recognition within his field, eventually being knighted and earning fellowships in prestigious organizations such as the British Academy (FBA) and the Society of Antiquaries (FSA).

Warner is best known for his leadership at the British Museum, where he served as the Keeper of Manuscripts and Egerton Librarian from 1904 until 1911. In these roles, he oversaw important collections of historical texts, contributing to the preservation of literary and historical heritage before his death in 1936.
