Charlotte F. Dailey (1842–1914) was an American editor, archivist, and exposition official who dedicated much of her career to documenting regional history and preserving the legacies of prominent literary figures. Active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Dailey worked to organize and compile historical records, contributing significantly to the cultural and literary preservation of her era.

One of Dailey's primary achievements was compiling the Rhode Island woman's directory, a publication that served to document the activities and organizations of women within the state. Beyond her work with local directories, Dailey was deeply involved in literary scholarship. She organized the personal correspondence of the poet Sarah Helen Whitman, which in turn led to her involvement with the legacy of Edgar Allan Poe. Dailey assisted in editing Poe's writings and aided in the preparation of his biography, helping to shape the historical understanding of one of America's most famous authors.
