Pedro Antonio Velásquez Seguel was a Chilean politician who dedicated much of his life to public service. He is most notable for his long tenure as the mayor of Coquimbo, serving the commune from 1992 until 2006. His leadership during this period made him a key figure in regional governance.

In addition to his municipal service, Velásquez expanded his political career to the national stage, serving as a deputy in the Chilean legislature. Born on August 5, 1964, Velásquez passed away on December 7, 2023, due to cardiac arrest.
