John Vinycomb (1833–1928) was an English engraver, illuminator, and heraldic designer who built a distinguished career in the decorative and visual arts. He is particularly noted for his professional association with Marcus Ward & Co., a prominent publishing and printing firm where he employed his talents in design and illustration.

Throughout his life, Vinycomb was also an active writer, authoring several books that explored various subjects, including the history and topography of the city of Belfast. His involvement in the Irish arts community was significant; he served as the president of the Belfast Art Society from 1890 to 1892. His artistic and professional legacy was carried on into the next generation by his son, John Knox Vinycomb, who established himself as an Irish architect.
