George Henry Weiss was an American poet, novelist, and writer who contributed to the early landscape of speculative fiction. Writing primarily under the pseudonym "Francis Flagg," Weiss became a recognizable voice in the pulp magazines of the early twentieth century, where he published both imaginative poetry and science fiction stories.
His work appeared regularly in influential genre publications of the era, including Amazing Stories, Astounding, Tales of Wonder, and Weird Tales. Although his career was cut short by his death in 1946, his novel The Night People was published posthumously in 1947 by the Fantasy Publishing Company, Inc., preserving his legacy within early American science fiction.
