Born in January 1867, Whitaker eventually established a highly productive literary career, during which he authored more than two hundred short stories alongside several published books.\n\nWhitaker's extensive portfolio of short fiction and longer volumes demonstrates a prolific dedication to his craft during a vibrant era for magazine and book publishing. His career came to an end with his death in January 1919, leaving behind a substantial body of work.
