Isabelle Mary White (1 September 1894 – 24 June 1972), often known as Belle White, was a pioneering British diver who secured a historic place in athletic history. She is celebrated as the first British diver of any gender to win an Olympic medal, as well as the first to claim a European championship title.
White's competitive career at the international level spanned nearly two decades, during which she participated in four separate Olympic Games. Her landmark achievement came at the 1912 Summer Olympics, where she won a bronze medal in the women's plain high diving competition. She continued to represent Great Britain at the highest level, competing in the 1920, 1924, and 1928 Summer Olympics. Her career reached another major milestone in 1927, when she won a gold medal at the European Aquatics Championships.
