Alexander Whyte (1836–1921) was a Scottish divine who served as a prominent ecclesiastical figure during the late Victorian era. Over the course of his career in the church, he was awarded both a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) and a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.).
Whyte's career in religious leadership culminated in his election as the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland in 1898, a position of significant influence within the nation's religious community.
