Mark Wilson is a Scottish former professional footballer who played primarily as a right-back. Born in 1984, Wilson began his professional career with Dundee United, making his first-team debut during the 2002–03 season. After establishing himself with over 100 league appearances, he transferred to Celtic in January 2006. Despite facing significant injury challenges that limited his playing time, Wilson spent six years with the club before being released in 2012. He subsequently played for Bristol City, returned briefly to Dundee United, and concluded his playing career with Dumbarton in 2015. On the international stage, Wilson represented Scotland at various youth levels, captained the under-21 squad, and earned a senior cap for the national team in 2011. Following his retirement from playing in 2015, Wilson transitioned into coaching and football management. He served as the head coach of Airdrieonians during the 2016–17 season and was later appointed manager of Brechin City in September 2019, a role he held until October 2020. He subsequently took on the role of head coach for Partick Thistle. Alongside his coaching career, Wilson works as a sports pundit, regularly contributing to Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
