Lady Wilde
Jane Francesca Agnes Wilde, writing under the pen name Speranza, was an Irish poet, nationalist supporter, and folklorist who was the mother of Oscar and Willie Wilde.

Jane Francesca Agnes Wilde, Lady Wilde (née Elgee), was a prominent Irish poet and active supporter of the Irish nationalist movement during the nineteenth century. Writing under the pen name "Speranza," she established herself as a significant literary voice dedicated to her country's cultural and political identity.
In addition to her poetry, Lady Wilde had a deep interest in Irish folklore. She dedicated herself to gathering and preserving traditional Irish folktales, contributing to the preservation of Ireland's rich oral heritage.
She was also the mother of the famous writer and dramatist Oscar Wilde and his brother, Willie Wilde. Born in 1821, she remained an influential figure in Irish cultural history until her death in 1896.
