Eric Wood is a former American professional football player who spent his entire nine-year National Football League (NFL) career as a center for the Buffalo Bills. Born in 1986, Wood played college football for the Louisville Cardinals before being selected by the Bills in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft with the 28th overall pick.
During his tenure in the NFL, Wood established himself as a key member of the Bills' offensive line, earning a Pro Bowl selection. He played from 2009 until his retirement at the conclusion of the 2017 season, which was prompted by a neck injury.
Following his retirement from active play, Wood transitioned into sports broadcasting. Since 2019, he has served as the color commentator and analyst on the Buffalo Bills Radio Network, continuing his association with the franchise.
