Sydney Fowler Wright was a British author, poet, and editor who worked across a wide variety of literary genres. Born in 1874, Wright developed a diverse writing career that encompassed science fiction, mystery fiction, poetry, and screenplays. In addition to publishing under his own name, he also wrote under the pseudonyms Sydney Fowler and Anthony Wingrave. Outside of his literary pursuits, Wright was active in other professional and political spheres. He worked as an accountant and was engaged as a conservative political activist. His varied career as a writer, editor, accountant, and activist concluded with his death in 1965.
