Adam Noah Levine is an American singer, songwriter, and television personality who rose to international prominence as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the pop rock band Maroon 5. Born in 1979, Levine began his professional music career in 1994 with the alternative rock band Kara's Flowers. Following the commercial disappointment of their debut album, The Fourth World, the band reconstituted itself in 2001 as Maroon 5, shifting their musical direction and bringing in new members.
Under Levine's leadership, Maroon 5 achieved massive global success, beginning with their 2002 multi-platinum debut album, Songs About Jane. The band went on to release a string of successful follow-up albums, including It Won't Be Soon Before Long, Hands All Over, Overexposed, and V. Throughout his tenure with the group, Levine has been recognized with numerous accolades, including three Grammy Awards.
